snaking vs.
jetting
For years the only tool available for opening backed up sanitary
sewers was the sewer cable machine.
A rotating cutting head attached to a spring like cable was feed
through the pipe, cutting and ripping at anything in its path.
But other than making a hole through a root mass and freeing up
foreign objects (like the sock your 5 year old flushed down the
toilet), the cable machine is not effective at clearing grease,
infiltrated dirt, and broken pipe.

Hydro jetting uses high pressure water to cut not only a path
through the roots, but then with the back sprays to cut the root
back to face of the pipe. In addition, the extreme flow of water
assists in flushing the roots, grease, dirt, broken pipe and
foreign objects out of your sewer.
A video camera is also used with the jetter so an accurate
diagnosis of the sewer's problems can be established.
